Very deceiving language in the article and/or from the councilwoman.

"The councilwoman says the main reasoning she's resigning is due to her home being relocated into Ward 4."

It denotes some sort of involuntary situation for her. Like hinting at rezoning...but there is no such thing happening in Norman and Ward 5 shares no boundary with Ward 4.

She is moving to a different Ward before her term is over....so why not say, "the main reasoning she is resigning is that she is moving out of the ward"? Because saying that doesn't play to the poor targeted woman narrative.
Nailed it.

One of my brothers is a Professor at a large University back East. He was in the administration track as a career, and after 5 or so years he decided to go into the instructional side of the career.
His wife is also a Professor, she had the chance to be Dean at the same University, and passed.

They both cited the same reason as @SoonerP226 friend; that of being a target from all sides.

IN this political atmosphere, one in those positions can do nothing right.

Yes you can if you want a short career. You can always do the right thing and fight for it. You know, like in one of those Hallmark TV movies?:bolt:

The issue is city votes are on weird days of the week. conservatives do not get out to vote and the extreme far-left wokesters are so vocal and psychotic that they basically prey on the weak and feeble minded.

Here we are a year later, and Larry still doesn't have the votes to get much of anything done. In fact, he was recently recorded saying that he 'might as well go home'.
The city council, the chamber of commerce, the planning and building commission were already infiltrated by people that don’t vote with a conservative. Good luck Norman. It’s going to take more than a mayor.
