reloading scares

for 9mm...im looking at accurate #2 powder, cci primers, 115 or 125 gr bullet...am i on the right track? for those have tried several primers, powders and bullets is there really a huge difference in the quality ?

I have the Hornady AP progressive. They sell a "powder cop" die that fits in the station just prior to the bullet seating die. It has a rod that goes into the case, and rises up to a preset distance with the presence of powder. Too high, a double charge, or too low, no powder. You just have to train your eye to watch it.

A double charge is easy to avoid using a progressive press. It does the operation, next pull it rotates to the next station. I also use a slower burning powder which means I have to use more than a faster burning powder. A double charge would fill the case to overflowing. I always look in each case for safety reasons anyways. It's good to be cautious.
