    Yeah, that's right. I've used Altamont before. They are reasonably well-made and not overly expensive. They're laminated.

    Hi Ronny -- Youtube has a video on removing the grip without the little plastic tool.

    here is the link:

    The video was made by Hogue; at the 3:45 mark is the beginning of the alternate method to remove grip without their plastic tool.

    Thanks. Yeah, Hogue sent me one. Old grips removed and new ones installed (see pic). Now I have an orphaned tool. More than one, as it is. :)
