Sad Dog Day

Today we put our black male lab to sleep. Poor fella was almost 13. He had heart issues, a hernia and developed pneumonia. He was a fighter and a wonderful dog. Very sadly he is our third lab lost in 6 months. One last August and one the 3rd of this month and Steeler today. Its hard to describe how our hearts hurt. All pups are wonderful but labs just seem to be very special.

Terrible news. Labs are great family dogs. Your family has my condolences. We love our dogs.

I feel your pain, I had to put our 16 year old husky mix last Friday. It is truly a loss to the family.

Sorry for your loss. Been there, done that. I've never met a dog I didn't like. Can't say the same for people who are mostly jackasses.

Man, I'm very sorry to hear about this. Nothing; I mean nothing; spells loyalty like your dog.

We lost 2 dogs in 6 month's - 3 is really tough. Dogs give unconditional love. We two legged walkers can learn from that.

Sorry Brother, I feel your pain. I lost my 15 year old boxer/rott on Feb. 3rd. Best dog I ever had, not ashamed to say I cried a lil.

Condolences to you - we went down that path in December with our nearly 14-year-old Australian cattledog, Rock Star, due to kidney failure. It was the week before Christmas and it put a damper on that event for sure. In late January, we adopted a black Lab pup that was abandoned at a Grand Lake marina. So we're going down the path of chewing on everything and working to break her of chewing on people.
