I would like to know if the Hilton Garden Inn off Meridan and I-40 by H and H shooting sports gun store is a good safe option to stay or if there is a better part of town to choose hotel?

Stay further south down Meridian and maybe off Meridian East onto 15th a 1/2 block. Newer. Cleaner. Less riffraff.

If you are new to staying in and around that area; leave no valuables in ur car in sight. Lock everything. Don’t be cruising around on foot much after dark. If an area looks sketchy it probably is. If the rates are dirt cheap, there is a reason. If you are towing a trailer, find a spot where you can back it against a wall and your tow vehicle not be blocking all the thru traffic. If it sticks out but doesn’t completely block anyone in, you’re good.

It ain’t Chicago, but it’s a big city and there is no place that is 100% safe anymore. Enjoy your stay.

This! The area right at/under the I40 bridge north to reno is super sketchy.

The area I would stay in would be Mustang Road and I-40. I used to live in that area. You only have a few miles to drive to H and H straight shot on Reno avoiding I 40.

My second would be Embassy Suites further south on Meridian. Great cook to order line breakfasts! Not a continental breakfast.

Also keep in mind: Hilton Garden Inn no longer has free breakfast. You have to set your account for the MyWay settings for the food credit or they will charge you for eating there. Hilton properties changed their rules for somethings at the beginning of the year and I haven't stayed at an Embassy Suites yet this year.

Sometimes they have midget porn stars dance there.

I may, or may not, have been in attendance for that once. Okay, twice.

Called a friend of mine afterwards and told him I saw them at lunch and he said, “How long they there?” I said, “all weekend”. He said, “ thanks, I gotta find some money” and then he hung up on me.
