Anyone know if the sandbass are running anywhere around OK yet? I have Sunday free and looking to take the boat out and wouldn't mind chasing some sandbass.
I doubt it based on weather and temps. It's usually a few more weeks out anyway.
Gotta warm up some more
If you are wanting to take the boat out, you should be able to get in on sand bass bigger brother. Striper and hybrid in main lake river channels, or along sharp depth changes.

The old adage is when the dogwoods and the red buds begin to bloom, then it’s time for the sand bass to start running up the creeks and rivers for the spring spawn is pretty true. Mid to Late March depending on your location in Ok.
Other influences can start runs in creeks if the weather is warm and we get rains. The sand bass stage at creek mouths and the river channels until something starts the movement upstream. A warm rain will get them going up.
