4-6 years. That's why I said in my post it would be a couple more years before my patch starts producing, and it's a very small start. Takes several more years before the bush becomes mature. How many year before they produce, anyone know?
Based on dennishoddy's post above, I'm going with 4-5 from seedlings, maybe another year from seed. How many year before they produce, anyone know?
If you get the bare root plants from the Okla forestry department sale they have every year, you can cut a couple of years off putting fruit on.Based on dennishoddy's post above, I'm going with 4-5 from seedlings, maybe another year from seed.

They also have a route they follow around the state for free delivery. I don't remember what time of year it is, but it seems spring if I remember right, which I always thought was odd because most forestry services recommend planting trees and bushes in the fall.OK Forestry Department

Minimum order is 100 seedlings @ 90¢ per. "[Resale] as live plants" is prohibited, but I'm inclined to read that as resale for profit at retail; I wouldn't think it would cover splitting up a group buy. Shipping is another 10%, so figure $1 per, shipped to one address.
Anybody game? I'll take point if we can get enough folks together. I'll get them to Norman; you can pick up here or pay actual shipping to your location.
