I think one of the biggest problems is that sarcasm is sometimes not detected in the written word here on the website. It's much easier to recognize sarcasm when it's spoken.

As the saying goes, "It gets lost in the translation". The TRUE meaning or intent is not there.

And some don't get it even when you tell them your being sarcastic, verbally or written.
