okay, so obviously my family has a few guns. . . just a few. under a hundred, lets say.

Well, we're looking at listing our house and had a friendly neighbor who is a realtor come in and want to list it. . . until she saw the reloading room and the safes. then the discussion turned to "hiding" all the shooting stuff because it would scare off some buyers.

So what gives, is she being accurate? something tells me we need to find a realtor who both appreciates and understands a homeowner who has a shooting addiction.... er.. hobby.

What say you OSA?

I have that setup currently in my house, I'm curious to see what others have to say about realtors since I will most likely be putting my house on the market in about 12 months

Thats what I'm thinking too Dennis. I know we have at least one realtor on the board but I can't remember his username...if anyone can help with that, chime in!

I will not be made to feel ashamed over my love of the frearms or hunting industries or my inbvolvment with them as a consumer.

I moved mine, the stashed ones and the safes just for the fact of me not wanting others(total strangers) to know that I've got firearms. Who knows who's going to tell who that's going to tell who that there's a crap load of guns at this one dudes house. It's not hard to track down where someone moved to as well.

As long as it's neat, presentable and the guns are secured, the realtor can piss up a rope.

This is yet another reason we are going to do FSBO when we sell our place.

Code_3 helped me buy my house and was awesome to work with.

The only reason I would want to "hide" my firearm related stuff was I don't want strangers coming in my house knowing that I have them. The house I bought had a giant gun safe in the master bedroom that I have no idea how they got it in or out of the house.
