I do not know if I am just getting cheap in my old age or if shipping charges are getting to be nuts. Thought about ordering 500 lead bullets in but refuse to pay $14.50 just for shipping. Guess Midway does not know about postal flat rate.

Oh well, anybody wanting 38 cal lead HP semi-wadcutters, Midway has them in. Good bullets for liter loads.

what does 500 .38 cal lead boolits weigh? 15 lbs. Seems about fair to me. LIke said earlier; what's it cost you to go pick them up yourself.

OR, they have no desire to needlessly upset the Feds, whom I'm sure they are regulated by, to break the postal regulations by shipping their ammunition by postal flat rate.

UPS ships it via ground freight, but they always charge by the pound, or box volume so they don't get stuck shipping a refrigerator box full of pillows for $3.
It is just the LEAD bullets without the brass, powder and primer found in loaded ammunition.

They may not ship anything out USPS or have sections of the warehouse, or a separate fulfillment center that can't ship out items via USPS to avoid anything getting intermixed in boxes going out the door.
