I think S&W wants to cover every base so they have 50 handgun models based on 6 guns . I mean they give a differnat md # to gun because it's steel,alum,alloy,blue,ss,hammer,hammerless, lite wt, comp prep, hd prep, what was wrong with the 2 number system 19,27,36. Now you need to know all the code numbers 4**,5**,6**,7**,etc.

I gotta say that the 38 is NOT as fugly as that Ruger LCR. I'm old school and my "unlocked" 442 is about as new as I care to go, but that 38 has potential. I think it would make a good gun for a new CCW'er.

And the .380? Well it's a .380...

I would love that. I carry a M&P 9 compact now, but I have often considered the Walther PPS.
