Tater Tots will always have a special place in my heart. As a kid, I can remember eating my first deep fried tater tots at a Dairy Queen near my house. My mom bought some tater tots and tried baking them in the oven, but they simply were not the same. Then the Fry Daddy came out and I was was in Tater Tot heaven. :)

While all are tasty, I voted other.

I use a mandolin slicer to make thin slices and I fry those in a skillet of peanut oil. I suppose not deep fried, but they could be, and they're still fried. Sprinkle whatever seasonings you want on them and you've got some fantastic homemade potato chips.

Crinkle cut like they have a braums allows for more surface area on which to make crisp on the outside and deposit salt and ketchup.

Crinkle cut for the win.
