As it happens, my wife and I will be in the Springfield, Mo area this weekend. I would appreciate any suggestions mainly for two things. 1) Restaurants, mostly Italian/pizza/hot sandwich type food. Then again, BBQ sounds good too. 2) Liquor stores. Big variety, good prices, maybe ones that carry better or more hard to get bourbons than what is typical around OKC.

Sincere thanks in advance.

No idea about Italian, but Taj Mahal is awesome for Indian food, The Aviary has some great savory crepes, Rama Thai has good Thai food......there are a bunch of Asian spots there in Springfield.

Taj Mahal lamb vindaloo...man, that stuff is good!

City Butcher for BBQ, Texas style brisket, and fabulous burnt ends.

If you are into tools, woodworking or metal, the Grizzly store is there, I could spend days there...

Springfield has long been famous for it's version of cashew chicken.
They have their own style that most Chinese restaurants in the area serve.
You'll thank me later!

If i'm in town, that's what I get.
