When I bought this it did not have plug in back of receiver. Made this on lathe & mill.

It is snapping . Hardly denting the rim. ???

I assume you mean the firing pin isn't fully striking? Could be the pin is worn or damaged. Or possibly the spring is weak.

Had a burr on each side of the nose of the firing pin. Smoothed off with emery board. Goes bang every time now.
