on a 15% chance of rain, a massive thunderstorm rolled through SWOK this morning. Incredible lightning and thunder, impressive wind for August (62mph at South airport, 81 at my house) and a downpour so heavy, it blocked out enough neighborhood light, I thought I was the only one with power til I headed down the road.

We'll know rain totals later, but I wouldn't be surprised to see 1.75-2.25 inches across a 25 minute lapse.

Been a weird weather year. June hail in late July, now a July downpour in late August. Mad times we're living it.

We had 80% chance of storms last night (according to the weather-guessers) and didn't receive jack squat! I really expected no less though.

yeah, I dont think KSWO works on the weekend. Predictions are usually pretty good thru the week. Checked at 1am was a 20% chance with the Doppler showing a massive blob of green and red heading right for Lawton
