He used a big round septic tank. Of course a new one.
buried it just below ground level. He then had a metal neck built up out of the septic tank with a metal door. It is about 4' tall. then with all the dirt from the hole he set the tank in. he then mounded that dirt around the neck he built for the entrance to the shelter. He also then built a ladder to get down inside it. There isn't much room but I bet you with a tornado coming you wouldn't mind.
I will get some pics of it next time I am out there. I kinda laughed at him when he said he was building it. But one thing I have learned from him is. Give him some time to think it through and plan and that man can get it done.
