Intersteing, I've got a maple and its not turning at all? hmm.
Maybe it's just a time of turmoil in the maple community. The law has broken down. Every tree to itself.

FWIW, the maples along Hwy 77 north out of Guthrie are starting to change. But, only the side facing east.
No idea why.
It's all about the latitude. When you got the right latitude, all them questions answer Theirself. When you got the wrong latitude, you trapped in a hole.
With respect to latitude, we just left Indiana a few days ago. Trees up there were beginning to turn about a week earlier, but from what we were seeing, there wasn't much of anything that had vibrant colors. What appeared to be happening was that the leaves were just going right to dull colored, dry looking leaves and falling off the trees.
What I've observed between Tulsa and OKC in a few trips lately indicate that colors in that area are just beginning to turn. Can't say yet whether any will be vibrant colors.
