Hello shooters. Just wanted to let everybody know that we are putting on our last Shotgun Course for the year on Oct. 29-30th. Tuition for the 2-day course is $400.00 minus your 10% discount for being a member of OSA. There currently isn't a way for me to discount the price of the class when you sign up but I'll give you cash when you arrive so you can't beat that! If you are into 3-gun this class will help you tremendously. As you know loading the shotgun is the most difficult part of the 3-gun match. It can make you or break you. So, why not come learn how to do it? You'll learn all kinds of great stuff including but not limited to:

Techniques that will allow you to operate a shotgun at lightning fast speeds.
Emphasis is placed on proper body positioning, trigger control, the shot cycle and multiple round engagement drills.
Deploying your shotgun from several different READY positions including slung.
Transitioning from one shooting platform to another to increase speed and efficiency of motion.
Speed reloads and combat reloads
Proper follow through techniques
Shooting and reloading on the move
Proper use of cover and concealment
Shooting from various barricaded positions
Man-on-man drills
Shotgun patterning and sighting in for slug shots

The ammo for this class is cheap. Here's what you need:

Required equipment:

400 rounds of birdshot
40 rounds of 00 buck, 2 3/4 in.
40 slugs
Slings and kneepads are optional but recommended
Eye and ear protection
Your shotgun must be able to hold at least 6 rounds in the tube. (semi-auto or pump)

Visit us on the web to sign up! Hope to see you there!!!!!

Mandatory hold 6 rounds in the tube?

That pretty much requires you to have a mag extension to participate.

Most shotguns are 5 in the tube+1 in the chamber. Do you mean 6 rnd capacity total?

If you have a shotgun that you are going to use for anything other than dove hunting you need an extended magazine tube. They aren't expensive. If you have a shotgun that will hold 5 in the tube I guess you could get by but it would be much better to have a gun that holds more rounds. We understand not everybody has a Benelli M1 or a Winchester Super X. You can take this class with a Mossberg pump and do just fine! We have had all kinds of guns come thru the class and the only one who had any problems were those that didn't have a high enough capacity. Just trying to save you a little headache.
