Before everything got stupid, what was a decent price for .223 or 5.56mm for an AR15? I'd like to know what was considered within reason.
Thanks...

Once, before things went full retard, there was a place called Cheaper Than Dirt. This place sold steel-case .223 for $0.25 per round, shipped. NO, it's true! Then they went to the Douche side of the force, people started buying ammo for guns they didn't own, and there was no ammo to be found anywhere except under condition of prison-rape-like prices and deep self-loathing.

in 2000 I was paying 109.00 per 1000rd of wolf 55hp delivered and I was paying something like 36.00 for a 200rd battle pack of port 7.62x51 I made more money then and I wish I would have bought more and shot less.
