I'm wavering back and forth in this thread for a couple of reasons --

First of all, I happen to agree with SMS. We are headed for some hard times (no, not TEOTWAWKI or whatever they call it). Like everything else in this world the prepper movement has been defined by it's extremists, not those of us who are just average, everyday folks who tend to live their lives prudently.

Obama, while not the originator of socialism, is the "face of the franchise" in this latest push for "social equality". And I do think he believes what he is promoting. Not for himself, of course. There are always an elite few who "need" to be exempt from the constraints they put on the rest of us ... bastards ...

Wealth redistribution is part of the master plan to rebuild this country into something completely different from it's original design...

My sister is deeply involved in that plan (she runs Free Press) and openly admits that socialism, wealth redistribution, and "social and media justice" are their tools for seeking/building/holding on to power.

SMS, I'm right there with you. I have a family with a few dims and it just boggles my mind at how deep they're heads are buried in the sand. These aren't ivy league college types either, but country folk from McCurtain county. But I digress they moved to Hollywood and New York for a good number of years and drank of the koolaid. One thing that I noticed early on about Obama is is his love for the word reform. Almost everything he wants to do, he describes as reform. That's telling right there. You are correct in that he wants to re-form our system of government into something that many many men died fighting against.

Heard on the radio this morning the speech Obama made yesterday. When he got to the part about having a hundred grand he didn't need and ended up with the parent who couldn't send his kid to college 'cuz there wasn't any grant money I just screamed at the radio, "there's not a thing keeping you from sending that hundred grand you don't need to some charity that grants scholarships to deserving young students you stupid, lying, sack of *&^%$!!!!!".

Every time that a'hole opens his mouth and speaks I get angry. How people cannot see thru his BS is beyond me.

Man, it's worse for me. My big sister is more than a dim and doesn't have her head buried in the sand. She is actively working toward their goals and is part of the machine. Do some reading on Free Press and it's connections to Soros, Obama, SEIU etc...it's scary. And, based on very personal conversations with her, I know it is not just some conspiracy theory from Glenn Beck or the other talking heads.

She joked for years, while I was in the military, that she thought it was funny that my life's work might cancel out her's. Now I'm out, and she's farther up the food chain, so I think she's winning that battle of ideology. Dammit.

The relying on the uneducated is their only hope of success. They have to bamboozle the masses, because they can't win when their ideas have no merit. But I disagree that he's a puppet. He's actually one of them.

People are starting to wake up. Hope it's in time for 2012 but we shall see. If we get another 4 years and we do somehow survive as a nation, I can't see another democrat getting elected in my lifetime. This guy will have caused so much damage and spun too many lies to allow it. People will hurt and they don't forget actual pain.
