My father was a devoted Christian and an ordained minister and never cursed, but once in a a blue moon if he got really peeved about something he would say, "crap". When he did, which I only heard a few times, my mother would scold him severely and he would apologize. So perhaps the word the coach used was, "Crap". A mild expletive relatively speaking.
