That said, this is not a law enforcement issue. This is an issue with a complete idiot that looks like he's going where he deserves to go.

Yes. A little premature, but the guy did turn quickly like he was going for something. Tough to say for sure, something must have made him do it that we didnt see.

Looks like both of them are lucky the Trooper is a bad shot...

From the video I can see how the officer could have mistaken what the man was doing, but maybe that's why they ask "do you have your license" and follow up with "where is it" ? At least when you are out of the vehicle. Bad deal all around but glad the man survived. Hopefully some things are changed in training, that being said why was the guy out of his car in the first place? Clearly not his fault that he got shot, but maybe he should have stayed in the car? If he was told to exit the vehicle then disregard. ...
