Yeah, Black Kettle is one of the state WMA's. It is pretty open though (like everything else out here), so bowhunting is probably a little harder that the stuff on the east side of the state. I bowhunt a little, but have only had success twice thus far...pretty hard hunting when you have to sit on their level and try to draw...crossbow would probably be a lot easier though.

The wind is the great equalizer here. Narrow scent line, everything around you is moving, and the rustling that goes along wind a 20mph+ wind helps with the ears. :) If it's blowing I'm going.........so much different than hunting the eastern part of the state, where growing up if the wind was over 5-10mph, we didn't go, seemed like they didn't move much.
