Thought you folks might get a kick out of this family picture of M1 Garands produced by International Harvester Corporation ;)

The first one is a 1964 rebuild at the Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) in Pennsylvania, and the center one was rebuilt at Anniston Army Depot in Alabama in 1965. The latter has a silvery refinish usually associated with LEAD, so it's interesting it'd appear on an Anniston rebuild. The first rifle is in a strongly figured 1960s birch arsenal replacement stock with clear DAS cartouche and serif P proof mark. The other four have correct IHC stocks and the second, fourth, and fifth have nearly all correct metal. The second rifle has some nice tiger striping in the stock, mostly around the pistol grip area, that's almost holographic when you adjust your viewing angle. The fourth rifle is a "gap letter" IHC where the first two lines in the stamp have distinct gaps in the middle; this was a receiver made by Springfield Armory for IHC when the latter was having production issues and needed assistance to maintain their output. Note the different font used on this one, compared to the others. All five rifles were produced in 1954-55.

Yes, I have a weakness for IHC M1 Garands. If you have one you'd consider letting go of, send me a PM :D

Awesome picture. I'd like just one of any flavor.

Cool. Now you need a Sewing Machine and a Juke Box to go with them. ;)

You got me on the thread title for a second, until I saw who posted. Well done. Nice looking Garands.

Had several of the latter, and the former would cost me both arms and a leg! ;)

I restored 4440467 and noticed that the CMP recently sold 4440466. Hope the guy who bought it saw that. Consecutive Arrowheads would be a very nice centerpiece to a tractor collection.

Really nice pic...but you're just showing off! I would also if I had that group in my stable.
