I believe that keeping the dust down is important to reducing your exposure to lead. Mercury too maybe - isn't mercury used in most primers? Anyway I think that tumbler dust may be one of the main ways you get exposed to "the nasty stuff."

I tumble mine in a shop building overnight, so thats not a factor.
Don 't know about the mercury in primers?
