A few new birds around this morning. New retriever too lol.
I dig that pic. My Brittany was never trained on duck blind hunting but if we were out pond hopping, she would retrieve anything
We were honored to partner with Wounded Veterans of Oklahoma this weekend to get the opportunity to take some of America’s finest on a goose hunt. The yellow dog had a great time too!
Nice that's a cool deal, they've been doing some crane hunts lately too.
It’s a great organization Okie! One of the guys that hunted with us mentioned a crane hunt he had the opportunity to go on this year. I hope to take these guys out again.

That is awesome!
My first bird dog was a Brittany that was a duck retrieving machine. She out retrieved many labs she hunted with. In fact that's all she hunted for the first 4 years of her life. She never saw a pheasant till she was 4. And guess what........pointed and retrieved them like she had been doing it since day 1!
I was 16 when I got her and had no freggin clue the gold mine I had in my hands. I'm on bird dog #5 now and while they have all been good dogs I haven't had another like her!
That's fantastic, @Porter ! Good for you!
Had a fun hunt this morning. Shot my 5 mallards early and waited it out for my other duck. Birds worked well for the most part despite me screwing up 2 big bunches of mallards. One of these days I’ll learn to leave good enough alone and quit fidgeting with decoys.
We shot a few yesterday and a few this morning. Finally seeing a bunch of migrating high flyers. Finally.
