http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ Here is the link, it is a pretty informative site, made me change my thinking about what I was feeding.

That site opened up my eyes along with...

http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/

I will be donating my Purina Smartblend and Science diet shorty. Replaced it with Blue Buffalo, and Veterinary Formulated complete. Also have been supplementing Taste of the Wild.

For those in Tulsa, Dog Food Plus @ 51st and Sheridan has VF and a brand called Enhance. Both seem to be better than most things sold at Petsmart or Petco and they are reasonably priced.

My dogs are just like my children and losing one is HARD!!!! We lost our Corgi last year to old age and had to have our other black lab put down due to Addisson's disease/brain lesions, making that decision and being there for it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do :cry11:. I know some people consider them as just dumb animals :chop:, but I will spend a few extra dollars to keep mine around a few extra years.

Our St Bernard cross was our first child, he was spoiled like you can't imagine but brought us a lot of joy.

Enhance is a very good food. It's what my bird dogs eat but the energy content is too high for most pets as they will plump up like ballpark franks if their metabolism isn't high enough and they aren't getting enough exercise.
