Although I live in Tulsa now, back in the late seventies there was a place in OKC called Juniors that was awesome. Since no one has mentioned it I guess they are no longer in business? Used to be in the Oil Center on NW Expway.

Went to Cimarron today with my employees.
Excellent atmosphere (very Big Texan-like), great service; steak was cooked perfect but tasted like burned hamburger and was tough as shoe sole - all 4 of them.
I'd give it 2.5 out of 10.
We'll do Cattlemen's next week.

Speaking of steak...

Does anyone else miss Harrigan's that was at I-240 and Penn.?

About 15 years ago it was my all around favorite place to get a steak.

They had good service, good prices, and had several different steaks that were all great.

They also had fried zucchini chips that were sliced real thin, and served with ranch dressing that were a must have!

The sign is still there, but the restaurant is long gone.

Best filet I ever had(at a restaurant) was at High Steak's(the steak house inside Thunder Valley casino and resort in Roseville, CA). It was about 6 inches tall, tender and juicy, covered in bleu cheese, and pink through and through....

Now that I am back in OK, I will have to try these out, but as qualified above....my steaks beat any steak you can find at a restaurant(five star dining or hole in the wall). The cattlemens locations I ate at out in CA didn't hold a candle to the one in downtown OKC and I have been wanting to go down there for a good steak. Great thread idea, keep em coming.

1. Mahogany's in Tulsa
2. Spudder in Tulsa
3. Molly's Landing in Catoosa (1872 Ribeye)

1872 Ribeye at Molly's is a great choice.

McGils on 19 atop the Hard Rock in Tulsa does a really good job with steaks as well. Ribeye is good and the bone-in Kobe for two is top notch.

Outside of Tulsa, Hugo's Cellar in the basement of the 4Queens in downtown Vegas...

1) Mickey Mantle's
2) Mahogany
3) McGills 19 (Hard Rock)

I admit there are still a couple in OKC I've yet to try.

The Cattle Exchange - Canadian TX, is the best steak I have ever had.
I can't believe someone else has been there! While good, it doesn't hold up to others listed.

A few years back my nephew took me to Junior's in OKC and it was great. Caesar salad was best I've had in long time and the steak was perfect too.
Pepper's in Claremore had good steak too, but it closed. :anyone:
