S&W 629 Mountain Gun. Nearly as light as a K frame , but packs more punch. 1st round is snake shot, the rest are dependent on where I'm at and what I'm doing.

I think it's one of the most versatile guns available.

Sense there are no real large predators in or around this state, not discounting big cats or feral pig's. A good .357 magnum or heavy load .44 special should do the trick for a woods gun. I carry either a Ruger Security Six, or a S&W 624, both with a four inch barrel. Now if I'm out lugging a rifle around I'll usually only pack a .22lr revolver or pistol.

I just recently traded it off after owning it for over 20something years in my family, but it used to be my old S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman .357 6" that I inherited from my father. Loved that old gun. If I have my rifle and my CC carry on me then I dont need anything else but my little old H&R .22.

Running around the hunting camp:
Ruger P90 .45 with +P hps, Its accurate, easy to clean, and too cheap and to worry about.

Anything Water related like an overnight canoe trip, or kayaking and it's a glock 17 in glocks 9$ polymer holster.

If I'm actualy hunting, just the rifle or shotgun.

Glock 20 or 22 depending on where I'm at. First round is a shotshell, all others are for bigger two and four legged critters.
