What ammo do you really need and what is a good price for it.
I see .308 and 30-06 and 30-30 for $15 a box as good.
What is good pistol ammo?
I have only bought 1 box ever in my life of pistol ammo..
Since i reload for all my guns i do not buy ammo anymore....
But i do hit the wallmart early in the mornings and see fresh ammo and think ???? man wish i could pick some of this up so some people here could have a box of ammo for a decent price.
In other words avoid the gougers.

BTW. It cost's me $3.58 to build 50 rounds of 45acp this is a 200gr lead SWC i cast and use bullseye powder and cci primers.
To make 100 rounds of 30-30 170 gr lead gas checked bullets costs me $15.60 or $3.12 for a box of 20
My 30-06 is most expensive to load for and costs me $9.40 for a box of 20 reloads. That is why i reload.

So what round is popular in your house?

I sold everything else and standardized for the foreseeable future, I have around 5000 rounds of 5.45x39, 22lr, and 9x18 Mak. 5.45x39 is an awesome round and still less than 0.20 in bulk until 7N6 is gone, and target/match grade 22lr still less than .10/round.

Looking for the lumens
Match .308 in 168gr flavor at no more than $28-30/box before tax (This was the going range for most of the Hornady, Am Eagle, Federal stuff in Nov. & Dec.)

I reload handgun so I'm with you guys in the "not a need of mine" camp. I just got into the precision rifle game right before the world completely lost its damned mind and so I've been unable to find the first components or die sets for what used to be a reasonable price, when I could find them.

ETA: I'm still looking for some 5.56 to buy for my niece and nephew to shoot an Appleseed. I have had some 22LR very generously donated already and just need to the feed for the AR to round it out. Given the current craziness, I may just try to find and buy another 500 round brick of 22, then borrow someone's 10/22 or other 22 rifle set up as an LTR and have them shoot just the rimfire stuff.

I pretty much only reload 45 colt, since this is what I shoot most of. My lee hand loader and all the other gear paid for itself after about 250 rounds. It saves me about half the cost of buying a box of factorys.

I just need to be able to replace what I shoot. I have about 800 rounds of 9mm range ammo only need to find more carry ammo.

I wonder what people are needing. Thinking of spending my fun budget for the next week on buying .223 and any .22lr i find

Yes the .22lr is tough to come by now..The ..223 seems like a hot commodity as does 9mm
seems like everyone has a 9mm or .22..
I do not own a 9mm
