If they're interested in history, the Museum of the Great Plains is excellent. Or at least used to be, I haven't been there in years. Several antique malls, if they like antiques. If they're nature lovers, the Wildlife Refuge is great. It's one of my favorite places in the world. Excellent nature center there too. If they're hikers, the little hike to 40 foot hole is a pleasant outing, plus there are much longer trails there.
Lawton may have a bad rep, but it's still has lots to offer.

There are also Geronimo's grave (not very impressive looking) and the Field Artillery Museum on Ft Sill.
If the wives want to take in a movie the Carmike 8 on Cache Rd is a nice theater.
Wayne's Drive-In restaurant is good (right next to the Carmike) for an authentic "old-fashioned" bit of local junk food.

Ummm...Medicine Park isn't usually all that bad. Centraloklahoma ran into a bad day. The place is not normally crawling with work-gangs or dead fish smell - it is kind of a quaint small town with a sort of wannabe artsy-fartsy attitude. Look folks, this is Oklahoma. I have lived (that means for years at a time) in CA, NY (upstate and NY City), GA, NV, VA, NM, Korea, Germany, and the UK...and now OK and by-far OK is the most...uh...rustic. That doesn't mean it isn't nice, but do not expect to pop in to hear the philharmonic after going to the modern art exhibit in most of OK.

If you're going to mt Scott then e sure to get lunch at Meers. Get the Meers burger. You won't regret it. It's a "that area" staple.
WTF is a "that area" LOL ive lived here off and on for about 30 yrs and only ate there ..maybe 4-5 times....

Hard for me to stay out of here, crappy town or not...it's where I sleep, eat and work. But I do carry a gun....
OP, casino or Mall would be our best bet. if our gonna drop them off. Then take them for a ride through The Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. Ann's Country Kitchen , just down from Lake Lawtonka is a really good place to eat.
Yea Medicine Park is a resort of the past, an olde Towne, being on the bottom side of the dam it gets kinda fishy.
Shoulda reported the incident to the local Constible, they dont know unless someone tells them. Theyll Deal with it

You know..... That area. Around or about "that area". It will be the next big thing on urban dictionary before you know it.
