I have the Lowe's bench similar to http://www.lowes.com/pd_2218-55738-LWWB08-3D4563_0__?productId=1235425&Ntt=workbench&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dworkbench&facetInfo= But I have 4 drawers instead of 3. I had to use a 2x6 as a standoff for my single stage press and I lose the use of one of the drawers. The bench was pretty stable, but I had a lot of weight in the bottom shelf. Samsclub has this one http://www.samsclub.com/sams/search/searchResults.jsp?searchCategoryId=all&searchTerm=workbench&fromHome=yes&_requestid=144799&_requestid=144806 but it's just a straight bench with no storage at all. Now if you have a few simple tools like a drill and some kind of saw, Circular, or some kind of chop saw or can borrow one you can use a 2x4 basics and make a table pretty easily and just have Lowes make the cut on the sheets of plywood for you. Here's the kit http://www.lowes.com/pd_127079-32895-90158_0__?productId=3536338&Ntt=workbench&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dworkbench&facetInfo=

The woodworking bench from Harborfreight is nice, but I guess I just wasn't that impressed with it, you definetaly need to make sure to find and use the coupon for it.

Another good place to keep an eye on is Craigslist. You can find good deals on there, even an old metal secretary's desk would work well. Search Workbench, worktable with and without spaces. Here's a couple I found in just a minute. There are some woodworkers on there and you might even be able to have one of them build one to your specs.

I use an old computer desk but any solid desk should work great and give lots of drawers to store things.
