Tell me about the colt. I'm looking for a rimfire upper, and want to consider or opt out of all options.

Dennishoddy, seriously, look at the Nordic Components new upper. We have ran over 15K through one without any problems. A light cleaning and some oil from time to time, but it has never hiccupped. They use the black dog magazines and will shoot anything. Not to mention the personal service you will get from Nordic. MSRP is $509.
