It was Detroit's game to lose, and that's sure enough what they did. They pretty well blew their last chance when the tight end went for the sideline instead of turning up field and going for the end zone; that cost them a good 30 seconds, which would've kept SF from running out the clock.

No they lost on that first turnover, that was a 14 point deficit and then they did it a second time.
You cannot win a championship game by turning over the ball.
They gave it away.

I agree that they lost it on the turnovers, I'm just saying that bad decision blew their last chance at a comeback.

I agree they missed the comback but they wouldnt have had too if they hadnt gave away 14 points with turnovers. They lost by 3, not 14.
