Boo Ray!

A downside to ER coverage is that it's open 24/7/365 and everyone gets a share of holidays. In exchange for a week off at the end of the month, I'll be up for 24 hr shifts on Sat. and Monday. Gotta love treating "pop bottle rocket eye" and stapling drunks back together.

So, who else is going to spend the Independence day weekend working instead of lounging outside?

I had a 3 day weekend, but I am going to go in tomorrow and work for another guy.

I work on Sunday and the 4th. On the 4th I will work for about an hour and then get to go home with pay. (thank god)

if this is a workers of the weekend unite, check in.. (omg socialism, lol). then i punch in saturday at 7:15, which means i am rolling my fat lazy arse out of bed at 6:15 and skipping breakfast. thankfully i get sunday and monday off, and sunday morning HMFIC is going to see if he can salvage a marksmen form the bastardized shooter that is myself; so things are looking up i guess, pull a 12-14 hour day tomorrow and go play on the range sunday and sleep the week/weekend off on Monday, with a side of making sure my truck doesn't get torched by the idiot neighbors Monday night.

Being self employed also means no more paid holidays unless I work them. Yep, I am already booked up all weekend including Sunday. I am going to take off around noon on Monday the 4th though, well, unless the phone rings and it is an emergency.

I am, I work at the Hertz call center on Penn. Volunteered for a full 8 hour shift, we get paid double time and a half for holidays, why wouldn't I? As soon as I get off work I am picking up my daughter and heading downtown to see the fireworks with her, she is really excited to go.

I work at Lake Carl Blackwell. It's our busiest weekend of the summer. I work till 10:30 all weekend and monday. YAY!!!
