I'm not real positive on the date but back when Winchester primers came in a white box the primers were all silver colored then when they went to a blue colored box the primers became copper colored.......I'm thinking the box and primer color change was somewhere in the real late 80's or maybe early 90's about the same time Slick Willie became El Presidente.

I'm still shooting some older white box / silver primers and have not had any problems with them igniting......@kwaynem I have no clue as to why you'd have different colored primers in the same box.

With the primers out in the open at some of the local stores nowadays they will get mixed up. People will open a box to look at them and we all know what happens next. I dont think a manufacture would ever put 2 different color primers together. JMHO Continue at your own risk.
