Wooden Toy Ship

Does anyone know the manufacturer? Has anyone seen anything like this? There used to be another smaller one in the same toybox at grandpa's house. This thing has survived 4 generations of children. There is evidence of grey paint on the sides, no markings, no manufacturer numbers, nothing.

That is what I was thinking too. I have my grandfather's wooden ship but it is in much better shape with paint, lifeboats, stacks, etc.

Makes me so mad! I searched for this a year ago and nothing. Then just after I post it, I searched again and bam, there it is.

That's neat. Looks like it was repaired at some point because the higher parts of the ship were moved to the center of the boat after the aircraft parts were gone.

Old toys were fun, a simple object powered simply by imagination. When I was in early gradeschool a friend had this toy ship: IDEAL PHANTOM RAIDER GIANT SHIP BATTERY OPERATED PARTS vtg TOY 1964 1960s 60s | eBay

It launched depth charges, missiles and changed length. He had the matching aircraft carrier too. It was broken, it was his older brother's before his.

That's cool, and liking that it's still being enjoyed even though it has lost its 'luster'.
