If I could only own one centerfire rifle for hunting I’d choose a 7-08 ackley. I’ve taken elk with it. Killed lots of deer and wouldn’t hesitate to use it for a bruin either. I m grateful to have other choices but if one was all I could have the 7-08ai is my choice. Suppresses well and is superbly accurate. Couldn’t count the number of coyotes I’ve shot with it. (second barrel) If I lived north of the 48th parallel my 375 h&h would be my choice.
