So I’m most likely going to be taking a new job that will require me to travel all lower 48 states. I’m looking for something that will be mostly compliant with all states. That rules out pistols unfortunately.
I’m looking for a take down rifle and/or shotgun that can fit in a backpack so I can go in and out of hotels without drawing concern. Really just looking for something that will serve as a decent self defense gun, camp gun(for when oppurtunity allows).
Some options I am considering:
-Chiappa 1892 16” Alaskan takedown in 357.
-Henry Survival Rifle in 22 lr
-Cz 20 gauge coach gun
Any other options would be helpful! Unfortunately pistols are a no go due to certain laws in certain states. While I appreciate people who are prepared to go to prison to bring a pistol, I can’t do that. I have too many people that depend on me, and my boss is a friend and I would be letting him down if I caused that kind of trouble for the company.
