I like most Duvall movies, too. It sounds like an odd pairing, but I thought he and Michael Caine did a bang up job in "Secondhand Lion"

Never seen it??? That's hard to believe.

I've read all McMurtry's books. Enjoyed the movies too. The follow-ups were okay but not nearly as good as the original. Read the books, you won't be disappointed.
