That is one med I cannot and refuse to take!

And after watching Pain Killers. It's true that people that suffer with pain are treated, but I blame that on pharma and the Dr.s that push their poison. The US is the main opiod abusers in the world.

Oh I understand. But none of that alters the fact that there is are a lot of people out there with chronic pain issues who are treated like criminals. 🤷 And telling them to take a tylenol and meditate is ********.

You gotta watch Pain Killers. That was a play by big pharma. Criminalize people, blame them, tell them they are addicts or have addictive behavoir. My dentist gives me a sheet that tells me to combine ibuprofen with tylenol after an oral surgery.... I was like, "um, no.... I need pain meds". Now, not so much as I now KNOW what real pain is after having both knees replaced!

Maybe my pain levels today are influencing me so don't take this the wrong way -- but I don't need to watch it. I LIVE it. 🤐🤐 And I promise all you guys something right now. If I do not die of old age it will be because I just got sick and tired of listening to medical professionals tell me I am fine and to take a couple of Excedrin Migraine -- but don't take it more than once a month because your headaches are from taking too much Excedrin Migraine 🙄🙄 -- and just walk it off. This whole mess is just a load of ****.

Yes, I KNOW that taking too much of my medications can make me:

An addict. And more "exquisitely sensitive" to pain -- meaning they are telling me I don't really know how bad (or not) that I hurt. If that's the case then why are you asking me to rate my ****ing pain level on your ******* made-up chart?? And kill my liver. And mess up my gut function. And my ability to go to sleep. And my ability to get "good" sleep. And my ability to stay asleep. Ad nauseum.

I get it -- Pain pills BAD. Thank you for the public service announcement. I'm gonna go home and drink a scotch. Oh! What??!?! That's dangerous, I could become an alcoholic??!? Yeah ... Right ... But then I wouldn't be funding the gigantic medical complex you guys got going with your "major" NFP hospital complexes ... And the insurance companies ... And the pharmaceutical companies ... 🤔

You know ... Hmmmm ... I think I've just had an epiphany. It would be nice to have my life -- and my dignity back. I think I see some major changes coming in my life. I mean ... It's not like any doctor actually TRIES to honor their Hippocratic Oath anymore ...

I'll talk to you guys later.

I take Gabapentin 3x a day. I’m closer to your son’s age than I am yours. Also take several other pain meds. I absolutely refuse to take opioids though.

I wasn’t functioning before gabapentin without 24 or so ibuprofen a day. Which clearly ain’t healthy. Been on the gab for a little over two years now and it allows me to be functional.

Everyone has a different tolerance to pain. I took them a day or 2 after 4 knee surgeries. I know people that take them every time they have a sore muscle. I grew up with a mother who was a pain med addict. She constantly came up with some reason so see a doc. That was before the computerized records and she knew the right docs in town to get prescriptions. I've been to docs many times over the years and many are quick to ask if I needed something for the pain. No thanks.

My last stay in the hospital for CHF the quacks put me on 300 mg gabapentin for restless leg syndrome and itching caused by one of the other drugs they had me on. I questioned the use of and the nurses had reported when l was sound asleep my legs were moving like l was dancing and my hands and arms were twitching WTF what's causing that well sometimes the heart meds will cause things like that...........l tell ya it's one damn thing or the other and they give ya something to counteract something else they give ya.

As far as painkillers no way in hell am l taking OxyConti, oxycodone, fentanyl and a whole bunch of the other stuff the pain management quacks push. I'll take Advil and prednisone or depomidral for my back. Then l have to listen about the steroids making my bones soft well I'm damn near 80 years old with CHF and COPD and my last bone density test results were perfect so the chances of my bones crumbling before l die are nil so give me the steroids and fuk the AMA, the FDA, obamunist care and the whole lot of em🤭

The last time l was in the hospital for m congestive heart failure l questioned each and every med l was given. The cute little nurse said well this is that and it's for blah blah blah.........then she said and the little blue pill is viagra............well I'm 79 years old in the hospital for heart failure so l asked why was l being given viagra and she looked at me with her pretty blue eyes and said.........so you won't roll out of bed.🤭
It was developed for Pulmonary Hypertension, we even give it to babies.

Interesting ... And all this time I thought I was the resident junkie here.

It is not the opioids that mess with me the worst -- it is the gabapentin. And I have no idea how I would even start to function even the little bit I do now if I didn't have pain management. I would give ANYTHING if things were different but ... Well ... **** in one hand kinda thing, ya know? 🤷

I understand COMPLETELY why people take their own lives. How patients with pain issues are treated now is a disgrace.
I can’t take gabapentin either. It helped my sicatica but too many side effects. An alternative is pregabalin which is in the same class of drugs but didn’t have as many side effects, in my case.
