THIS IS AN... AAR... RIGHT? Anyone in military and law enforcement knows you have to take the good and bad critiques.

What was supposed to happen - vs -What did happen. How can we make it better?

If you guys want to feed each other's egos, drink the Kool-Aid, and wear your UnderArmor and Oakleys... thinking that "you're all that, and a bag of chips", go right ahead - but if you want to improve... then listen, discuss, learn, and grow.

Don't take it so personal... after all... this is an online forum.
It is online. So to quote you, 'you can't expect people to blindly follow' when you say words like "green zone" and "returned fire".
You claim to be military (which I doubt) and your AO was the green zone (which I really doubt), so you know that an AAR is from the people that were actually there not an armchair warrior who saw a 60 second video. You effectively have NOTHING to add to this conversation. They aren't feeding their egos. They are discussing the training since they have actually DONE IT. Now, if you aren't finished with the douchbaggery and the a55 clownness you should troll elsewhere.

One of the criteria to contribute to an effective AAR is actually attending the training. It does not appear as though you've done that based upon your comments.

While it is no secret that I disdain Wes' past behavior on this forum, if you want to smack-talk someone, it's best to do it to someone's face. Otherwise you're simply being a gash.

I have never trained with Wes so I cannot say one way or another what type of trainer he is but I can offer that he's NOT inexperienced.

To sum up, if you pull this kind of crap in someone's AAR again, your stay here will be short.

You can't just throw out the words "force recon marine" and "blackwater"... or even "been there and done that" and expect people to blindly follow.

Sounds like Wes was calling most of the commands... heck I half-expected a beep from a Speed-Timer to start the iteration.

For those of us who jumped in over there, and driven in the green zone in a 4-door Ford Ranger with no armor or ballistic glass - and taken/ returned fire during dynamic evasive manuevers - the training was, at the very least, amateurish.

not assumption... observation.

Why were you driving in the green zone in an under armored vehicle?....did you take fire in the green zone?......what was your mission?......please explain-I am confused by your comments.....

also, constructive criticism is welcome...do you have a better way of performing the drills that you viewed?...if so, please share...

P82nd, We are always open to good training suggestions from troops that have been in the "Sandbox" in fact, We invite you to be our guest in the next class, which is October 2nd at 0800 hours. After the course if you have any advice or constructive criticism that would make the information which is being disseminated more effective, we would consider it a honor to conduct an onsite AAR.

Please don't let the goofballs in the videos reflect on the instruction lol. Those were all our first runs and I know at least for myself I was trying to process everything Chad told us to do. The later runs were much smoother. But I think Matt Damon sucked in green zone so what do I know.

Wes, you are much more of a diplomat than I. I applaud you for this.

Thank you, Wes, for extending the oakleaf, but after the attacks from your students, it would seem a bit pointless for me to attend - left a bad taste in my mouth from the LEOs that were so easily offended from my critique. I apoligize if I came across the wrong way, but the information I posted is valuable, and valid.

I moved back to OK from NC because my wife and I have family here - and the people are more down-to-earth and friendly. I'll continue to attend training, but with another OK-based training school that validates their courses by training doctrine and standards.

I extend the same gesture to you, and will see if they are receptive to the idea for you to be a guest at one of their courses.

Thanks again,

- Paul S.

There will be a fresh batch of students at the Oct class so none of us will be there to "attack you". Why don't you put on your own class and I will attend and come back and give an unbiased opinion? I also know Chads resume but I don't know yours so why should I believe yours is better?
