Why are the people at Dong's so rude?

I had a younger guy that works there lie to me about not having 9mm largo ammo. I call on the phone and he says he doesnt have any. I go in and ask Ron.........the tall skinny gray headed man with glasses and a moustache. He says why yes we do and shows me where it is. The young kid was a little bit put off by that.

What's wrong with Outdoor America??!?!?! Goodness, I must be special or something ... I don't have any trouble with the guys there. Kinda like the guys on the range at H&H ... (and no, I don't show cleavage or legs ... bleech!!)

Maybe a smile and a nod would help you guys out instead of a frowny face ... :thumb:

This is kinda what I'm thinking.

I've been to Dong's more than a few times, one time they were rude, but it was one guy in particular, and he's not there any more from what I've seen. They've been at least as helpful as pretty much most of the gun shops I've been in anywhere, and way better than Academy or Tulsa Firearms.

They did order a Galco holster for me once, that wasn't in stock. They also tried to order a Rossi .22/12ga combo for me once too, but their distributor didn't have it either.

And just about every time I've been in there, there has been a (if not more) customer that rings all the bells as someone who doesn't need a gun. Or I guess I should say, isn't looking for a gun for legit purposes.

Agreed, I went in there the other day & the tall older gentleman was very helpful & informative.

Honestly I just think some people have trouble dealing with personalities that just dont mesh with theirs. But honestly, your in there to buy a gun, not play pattycake & make friends. So you shouldnt expect royal treatment just b/c your a customer. But thats just my point of view.

There's a huge difference in "royal treatment" and being courteous, which neither of those can be said about Dong's 99% of the time.
