Where to buy Iodine...its missing??

When I was a kid everybody used it.
Now days a lot of people are allergic to it.
Next time you go to the doctor look at the form they ask you to fill out.
The 2 main questions they seem to ask the most about is. Are you allergic to iodine or latex.

I make iodine for a living and it is very poisonous. Topical iodine that you buy is stores is only about 2% concentration mixed with alcohol. Iodine is very bad for your thyroid so DO NOT ingest it. The DEA only watches the more pure forms of Iodine (i.e. Prills, Flakes, and Crystals). I make 99.97% pure iodine and that stuff is bad mojo as it destroys everything it comes in contact with. Mixed with water it forms a hydriodic acid which burns just as easily as any other acid.

you know i have always been able to get it at wal-mart but i haven't had to buy any recently so next time i am in there i'll have to look for it

Any good feed store will have it. Also check at Atwoods if u have one of those around.

Walgreens... I used some on my kiddos head 3 weeks ago when he jumped off of my office table head first and landed on the ONLY piece of wood not covered by the poly on the love seat.
It was freaking expensive though. 15 bucks!

Is your iodine available on the open market? With such a high concentration of iodine, what are the uses for it? I'm assuming it's not for wound treatment, etc.

Yes, our iodine is available on the open market. There are way more uses for raw iodine than you would think. We produce alot of USP (medical grade), the manufacturing process for LCD screens uses large amounts of iodine as well. I didn't realize how many things contain iodine or use it in the manufacturing process till I started this job.

In the presence of red phosphorus as a catalyst, otherwise I2 is poorly soluble. Thus the reason red phosphorus is also a meth precursor and controlled as well, Pseudo ephedrine is broken down in the presence of hydriodic acid and allows the bonding of a methyl group at temperature in the meth cooking reaction.

Is that why when I was a kid, that old crazy red stinging crap that you applied with a glass beaded stick and probably had iodine in it was called METHiolate?

I bought some at Atwoods for my horse. I had 4 bottles in my hand and the lady told me that she would have to report me to the Sheriffs office if I bought that many. I asked if she would have to report me if I only bought 3? She told me "No". Therefore I only bought 3 so I wouldn't have any hassles. What a joke!!!
