Blu how has Obama disrespected you as an American citizen?
He inherited a huge mess from Bush. His response may not have been the best, but who can say McCain could have done better. It was a totally unique and horrible situation.
He has not "taken our guns" like all the panic mongers cried. Although he made gun dealers a lot of money.
So what exactly has he done to disrespect you as an American citizen?
The simple answer I am a part of the majority and he disrespected all of us. The bailouts, the majority opposed and demonstrated such, he signed it right on through.....
The health care debacle.... EXACTLY the same. To me that is crapping on me and the rest of America in order to serve his own agenda.
Please don't try to use the Bush era crap with me. I don't agree with them either. I don't believe in political parties. They are just an excuse to join a gang and turn a blind eye as long as you get support for your one issue.....

I think what Blu Ray means is that just because our doors haven't yet been kicked in doesn't mean that it won't be in the future. With all the problems our government has life ain't too bad right now. So you use that as an excuse to let the slow deterioration of Americas freedom go on. Our simple way of life is under attack, its a slow process thats hard to see for most sheeple. One day everyone will look back and wonder how the hell did we let them do this? Then your doors will be kicked in and it will be too late. Years from now your dead and your descendants will be slaves of the rich and powerful. Freedom for few, obedience for the rest. No guns, no alcohol, no hot rods, no tittys in yo face, all that goes to King Obama the 5th and his cronies(just an example). But who cares about the future thats their problem right?

Oh JB, I grew up in AZ., carting what used to be the idea of illegals to and from the local grocery store to get food and supplies. I speak very well. You must forget I was/am a soldier and a damn good one. Know your enemy, and it's always better to be the hunted than the hunter.
That aside, I absolutely agree with you. Our constitution and basis for freedom has been reduced to a school house bicker. We have lost our ability to fight or stand as people to the petty needs that happen like what is here on this forum. It appears that our system needs a billyboy.
I think America is stronger than what many of you give her credit for. It is true that the moral standards of our country have lapsed compared to our grandfather's generation. But what do you do? You cannot legislate morality. That simply doesn't work. You cannot turn back the clock. You cannot unring the bell. The country does not have the same composition it had during the Greatest Generation. There are many more people of many more diverse backgrounds. Additionally, the country has become less religious.
So what do you do? Live in fear of some dystopian future in which Big Brother imposes his will? Look everyday for as many confirmations of that fear in life as you can possibly find?
The die has been cast. We will continue to have these ridiculous swings from left to right. We will continue to engage in a dumbed down debate wherein we seize upon the latest soundbite of Rush or Glenn or Arianna. It's never going to get better. But it's also not going to turn into the police state you fear. The fact is the more people and the more advanced technology is the more privacy and rights we are go to lose.
And as for your dig about "who cares about the future, that's their problem right?". Yes, it is. I have an immense ego, but I am not so egomaniacal or delusional that I believe I (or you or any of us) can change the future in any meaningful way.
