This. As an atheist, I was excited to see Religulous. He makes some great points (though most can be found yourself by Googling "atheism") but loses all respect with his condescending attitude in voicing his beliefs. You don't need to be a d**khole in order to prove your point, all it does is make you appear insecure in the belief you're trying to argue for. There are billions of people on earth and each one of us has our own beliefs, that's what makes us great. But what gives him the right to laugh in the face of others because they're a believer of A and he's a believer of B? I'd like to see Religulous again without the "you believe what?! you're stupid!" attitude.

I never noticed him being a "d**khole" in that movie at all and I've seen it quite a few times.

I don't see him as being any more arrogant than John Stewart or Stephen Colbert. I don't care for Stewart, but Colbert cracks me up.

If Stewart or Colbert act arrogant, then it comes off being more sarcastic. They don't seem to take themselves too seriously, IMO. Maher strikes me as the type that stares himself down as he walks by a mirror and loves the smell of his own farts. (Sorry...couldn't resist.)

It's his personality. He sucks balls as a comedian, his delivery is awful, he is annoying, self-righteous and pretentious...and he's not nearly as insightful or intelligent as he thinks he is. He's not original or interesting, he's a hack. His jabs and satire don't make you think and they appeal to the lowest common denominator. They are the fart jokes of political satire. In short, he's not friggin' funny and he thinks he's hilarious.

I'd much rather see the JB Books one man show than Maher's.

Really, I'm such a fan of comedy I can and do look past everything else. Maher sucks. It's like he watched a bunch George Carlin, Henry Rollins and Bill Hicks...twisted the words around, removed any trace of humility or likability , added pretentiousness, arrogance and a horrible personality and then shook it all up in a ********* to make his "jokes"

OOOOOO how edgy. Fawkin' goober ass clown. Tell people when to laugh and when to applaud, you phony turd stain on the cloth of comedy. If you could combine every annoying male personality trait, from the obtrusiveness of spiky-haired Jager drinker, to the ignorance of a racist redneck and the pretentiousness of a coffee house hipster...you get Bill Maher. He strikes me as the type to play back the laughs he gets on stage while he touches himself.

Should I continue? :lookaroun
