Tint laws??

Where can I find out if there is a state law on window tint? Me and a guy from work are arguing about if there is a state law on tint. I have talked to two OKC cops and they told me there is not a state law anymore. But if I google okla tint laws they show that there is a law enacted in 2005. I'm just trying to find out if there still is a state law limiting how dark you can tint your car. I know that cities can have their own limits.

ive always thought anything under 20 percent on the front windows is illegal but i could be wrong

I've had factory 5% on my cars previously without issue...jet black (made it hard to see out at night)

Nothing below the AS1 line on the windshield, nothing below 25% on the drivers or passengers side windows and no restrictions on the windows rear of the driver.

I have 5% on my windows, and 30% on my windshield.. Been stopped plenty and never heard a word. Depends on the officer and you attitude with him. I have a buddy who had his driver and passenger windows scratched by a hypo and told him to get it replaced.

I've been in Oklahoma since 1999 and have had 5% or less on all my windows. I even had my entire windshield tinted at one time, got pulled over but never ticketed, or even questioned about it. If there is a law, it's not being enforced. I know in California, you can't have the front windows tinted at all, the back doesn't matter.

Ive been stopped several times for window tint, and told by the officer thats why. Ive gotten 2 tickets one in Edmond and one from a Kansas State Trooper. There are a few Edmond cops that I think there favorite thing to do is give tint tickets. I have 5% all the way around and 20% on my windshield. I think they were both $150 fines
