I’m very interested in this pistol. I initially was looking at the Kahr T9. I got to hold one at H&H, which is another story altogether, my second bad experience in the store.

Anyhow, I found the T9 a little too big for what I’m looking for. I have a Sig P239 which is a wonderful pistol but a tad too big for one hand. I had a Taurus PT709 Slim that was a great fit, great shooter, but tough on the hands at the range.

So, does anyone own this pistol and will you share your impressions. I’ve looked on Kahrs web site and can’t get the width measurement.

Thanks in advance.

I have one, it is one of the guns I don't ever plan on selling. Great gun, but mainly because it is my wife's CCW. :D However, it is a favorite of mine also. The one I have had some finishing done to it from Mike Cywrus, Ol Yeller, on this site. He checkered the grip, polished the internals and slide and rails, and did a carry melt on it. In my opinion, that is the way all of them from the factory should be.

I have thought I might put night sights on it, but haven't yet. Smooth even trigger, especially after Mike working on it. I have a PM9 that I carry, and like that trigger too, but the K9 is just a lot smoother, with a nice break. The only downside on the K9 is it is a little heavier to carry, but then again, it doesn't bother me, I also carry a G19. The weight does absorb a lot of the recoil in the smaller pistol, therefore my wife really likes it. I am not sure how many rounds Andy put through it, we have run around 400 rounds through it without a hiccup. It does take about 200 rounds to break them in, like any of the Kahrs.

I believe all the Kahrs within a given caliber and construction are the same width, i.e. T9 K9 MK9 etc. The polymer may even be the same width as I think the slides are the same as well.

Salt in the wound Gillman... Salt in the wound... :D

I miss my K9 a lot. Its a good gun, and is probably the most perfect fitting gun ever made for folks with Medium-sized hands. Its not what I would call easy to shoot if you're putting a lot of rounds through it (it is a compact/bordering-on-subcompact-sized gun), but its heavy all-steel frame helps with muzzle-flip and recoil to some degree (its less "poppy" than my XD9sc, and the Glock 26 for sure, but its almost apples/oranges because of the difference in frame width).

It is definitely thin - I'd say it and/or the Walther PPS are probably two of the "thinnest feeling" semi-auto pistols I've had the pleasure to shoot (save the HK P7 - which is really in a class of its own).

Since you have a reference point of owning a Sig P239, here's some comparison pics of a Kahr K9 and a Sig P239SAS (keep in mind, this Kahr isn't like most other K9s - it has had some of OlYeller's TLC applied to it and sadly, I, in a fit of stupidity, sold it to another member on this board - not saying any names or anything :D ):

Kahr makes great guns, I picked up a P9 back in 2001, put thousands of rounds through it without an issue, carried it on duty as a backup until I got my Sig 239. It's become my wife's primary, my only complaint is I can't find anything else on the market she likes as well...which isn't much of a complaint I know, but she has very small hands and shoots the Kahr very well, so I may pick up a K9 for she has a secondary pistol.

I have one. I love it. Very well built like all Kahrs. I added a CT laser and some Wilson Firesights to mine. It's almost identical in size to the P9 (Polymer), but much heavier, which I like. It's not my carry gun, but more for home defense.

Also, like my other Kahr (P380), it eats any ammo you put in it, including +P. (Double Taps, which approach .357 Ballistics)...
