Is this the Engrossed HB2522 that the Senate voted on today? If so it has open carry in it... hard to keep up with what was the latest incarnation of this Frankenstien Monster... it has more parts added on and switched out than a Mister Potato Head.

Type in the bill HB2522, then click on Engrossed when the next screen pops up. Or, click on 'Senate Floor'.

Passed 39-2.

that was HB2522 that passed committee today. Now back to the House.
1733 hasn't been voted on in committee yet.

The bill passed the full Senate, not just a committee, and was returned to the House. The Tulsa World article on this is titled "Senate waters down open-carry legislation" and contains this sentence:

House Bill 2522 would allow land owners to openly carry weapons on their property.

However, when I go to the bill tracking reports to read the Senate floor version, I see no such restriction for open-carry. Where else can I read what was actually passed and sent to the House?

My bad, your right, it passed the full senate.

The unlicensed open carry language was removed because the House had vowed not to accept it. There actually is no open carry language in it right now, but the agreement is that it will have it's original open carry language put back in by ...the conference committee after it goes back to the House, unless SB1733 passes the House (if that happens it won't matter). The other elements of OK2A's legislative agenda were put back into the bill, however. They include: private property open carry, adding ammo to the section of law that requires employers to allow employees to keep their weapon locked in the car while at work, and changing the police notification requirement from "first contact" to "first opportunity."

Good info - thanks for the reply. Is the legislature's bill tracker just not updated yet from yesterday's vote and language changes?

Is Sen. Wilson high? I mean, seriously--has anybody read the text of his amendment to HB 2522? Let me fill you in:
Section 711. Homicide is manslaughter in the first degree in the following cases:
...
4. When perpetrated by a fetus of a pregnant woman who:
a. knew or had reason to believe that her pregnancy would result in the risk of her life,
b. was unable to obtain a lawful abortion as defined in Section 1-730 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes under the laws of this state, and
c. died as a result of her inability to obtain an abortion as defined in Section 1-730 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes under the laws of this state.
Take whatever position you want on abortion--seriously, I'm not getting into that here--but does he seriously mean to hold a fetus criminally responsible for the death of its mother if she can't abort?
