I go all over town and I don't see these gangs, but I know they must be out there. I don't feel like its a rough town myself. With that being said, when I leave the house, I am packing!

lawton has been a **** hole as long as i can remember and i'm 52

It is getting rougher. I don't live there full time, most of the time I'm away at school and there's been a definite decline over the past six or seven years. As its been said, it's always been rough, but it's worse now.

Lawton was in the top ten for crime many years ago, and more than once as I recall. Sad. It's pronounced "Law Town."

Lawton is no different than any other military town. You think Lawton is bad, you should go to Fayetteville NC aka Ft Bragg, more appropriately known as Fayet-nom.

Grew up in Lawton. Lived there for 22 years of my life. Left and never looked back. My family still lives there and it always depresses me anytime I drive back to that hellhole.
